R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Joshua Jacob Makkappallil is graduating as |
|
salutatorian of the senior class of Mesquite High School in 2013; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; the student who garners this coveted |
|
distinction must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a wide |
|
range of subjects, from math and science to language arts and social |
|
studies, yet the rewards of the countless hours of study and |
|
preparation are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Jacob and Mini |
|
Makkappallil, Mr. Makkappallil plans to continue his education at |
|
The University of Texas at Dallas, studying biology on a full |
|
scholarship; he hopes to become a published author; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Joshua Jacob |
|
Makkappallil has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers |
|
and classmates at Mesquite High School, and his exceptional |
|
scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have |
|
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this outstanding |
|
young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Joshua Jacob |
|
Makkappallil, salutatorian of the Mesquite High School Class of |
|
2013, and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as |
|
he begins the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Makkappallil as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
