R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Suchita Patel is graduating as valedictorian of the |
|
|
senior class of Dr. Ralph H. Poteet High School in Mesquite in 2013; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; the student who garners this coveted |
|
|
distinction must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a wide |
|
|
range of subjects, from math and science to language arts and social |
|
|
studies, yet the rewards of the countless hours of study and |
|
|
preparation are myriad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Girish and Gita Patel, |
|
|
Ms. Patel plans to continue her education at Seattle University, |
|
|
studying international business and mathematics on a $15,000 |
|
|
renewable scholarship; she aspires to run a marathon in the future, |
|
|
as well; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Suchita Patel has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at |
|
|
Poteet High School, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard |
|
|
work, and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Suchita |
|
|
Patel, valedictorian of the Poteet High School Class of 2013, and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Patel as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
