H.R. No. 61
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Victor Gonzalez of Starr County has inspired
  innumerable people through his great kindness; and
         WHEREAS, Although he is only eight years old, Victor has
  already demonstrated exceptional thoughtfulness and compassion; he
  is undergoing treatment for bone cancer and leukemia, but despite
  his own health challenges, he shows tremendous concern for others;
  and
         WHEREAS, Victor learned that his hospital roommate was about
  to turn two years old, and he wanted to assist in marking this
  special occasion; he posted a request on Facebook, and his
  relatives joined in raising enough money to host a birthday party
  for the little girl at the local Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant; to
  acknowledge his selflessness, Action 4 News recognized him in its
  Pay It 4Ward program; and
         WHEREAS, Through his generosity, Victor Gonzalez brought joy
  to a smaller child and her family, and in so doing, he has touched
  the hearts of many and set an example of selflessness for people of
  all ages; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Victor Gonzalez for
  his good deed and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Victor Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
