R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ned Ragan Watkins has served with distinction as |
|
|
Republican Party precinct chair of Precinct 444 in Harris County; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their |
|
|
party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better |
|
|
state and nation for current and future generations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, |
|
|
citizens must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs |
|
|
play an important role in the election process; their efforts to |
|
|
inspire voters to support their party's candidates are part of a |
|
|
proud and vital tradition in our state and nation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity |
|
|
to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy |
|
|
toward promoting the Republican Party goals of limited government, |
|
|
free enterprise, personal liberty, and strong national security; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Ned Ragan Watkins |
|
|
for serving as Republican Party precinct chair of Precinct 444 in |
|
|
Harris County and extend to this dedicated community leader sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ned Ragan Watkins as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
