H.R. No. 110
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Robert Clarence Pittard of San Antonio, who passed away on
  September 2, 2011, at the age of 84; and
         WHEREAS, Bob Pittard was born on March 14, 1927, in
  Plainfiel
  d, New Jersey, to Moses and Cora Burton Pittard; for 20
  years, he served his nation as an air defense artillery officer in
  the U.S. Army, and he retired at Fort Bliss in 1970 at the rank of
  lieutenant colonel; four decades later, his son, Major General Dana
  J. H. Pittard, would serve as post commander of the El Paso base;
  and
         WHEREAS, Following his retirement from the military,
  Lieutenant Colonel Pittard went on to own several businesses in El
  Paso; in 1980, he moved to San Antonio, where he was a valued member
  of Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church; in his leisure time,
  this avid sportsman especially enjoyed bowling; and
         WHEREAS, The loss of Lieutenant Colonel Pittard is keenly
  felt by the numerous friends that he made through the years as well
  as by the many people in Texas whose lives he forever enriched; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Robert Clarence
  Pittard and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
  family: to his children, Paulette Evon Boggs, Robert Chris Pittard,
  and Dana J. H. Pittard; to his grandchildren, Michael Boggs, Jr.,
  Whitney Boggs, and Danielle, Alanna, Taylor, and Jordan Pittard;
  and to his other loved ones, including Karen, Lucille, Felicia, and
  Betty Green Pittard, Debbie Mitchell, and Rilmer Taylor; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert
  Clarence Pittard.
