R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kyle Weiss of Panhandle High School took part in the |
|
|
2013 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet in |
|
|
the 1A Division 1 boys' shot put event, and he merits special |
|
|
recognition for his skill and achievements; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top competitors in Texas at Mike |
|
|
A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10, Mr. Weiss turned in a notable |
|
|
performance; he recorded a distance of 52 feet, 7.75 inches, to earn |
|
|
fourth place and came very close to claiming a spot on the podium; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Kyle Weiss has ably |
|
|
represented his school, and he may cherish his memories of this |
|
|
notable accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Kyle Weiss on |
|
|
his fourth-place finish in the 1A Division 1 boys' shot put at the |
|
|
UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Weiss as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
