R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Emma Lopez was awarded Honorable Mention All-Star |
|
|
Cast recognition at the 2012-2013 University Interscholastic |
|
|
League One-Act Play 1A state finals; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A student at West Texas High School in Stinnett, Ms. |
|
|
Lopez gave a skilled performance as Mrs. Potter in an adaptation of |
|
|
A Girl Called Opal; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her hard work and commitment to excellence, |
|
|
Emma Lopez has distinguished herself in statewide competition, and |
|
|
her accomplishments are a source of pride to her family and friends; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Emma Lopez on |
|
|
earning Honorable Mention All-Star Cast recognition at the |
|
|
2012-2013 UIL One-Act Play 1A state finals and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Lopez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
