R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, University Kiddie Kollege Early Childhood
  Development Center in Marshall is celebrating its 35th anniversary
  from July 19 to 21, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Since 1978, University Kiddie Kollege ECDC has
  provided preschool education for children in East Texas, and
  through much of its history, the center has benefited from the
  leadership of owner and director Gertrude E. Fisher; the faculty
  strives to meet individual needs in order to help each student meet
  his or her potential and build a strong foundation for further
  academic achievement; and
         WHEREAS, The center offers a wide range of programs that
  enable youngsters to improve their social, cognitive, and
  communication skills; students are given opportunities for
  creative expression and are encouraged to explore activities that
  help them develop a positive self-image, independence, confidence,
  and a sense of discipline and responsibility; and
         WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is a vital enterprise
  for every school in our state, and University Kiddie Kollege ECDC
  has dedicated itself to that worthy goal for more than three
  decades; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby recognize University
  Kiddie Kollege Early Childhood Development Center on the 35th
  anniversary of its founding and extend to the faculty and staff
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
