R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six |
|
|
decades, Joe and Wanda McMinn of Lubbock celebrated their 60th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on June 14, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joe McMinn and the former Wanda Roberts exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Lubbock on that memorable day in 1953, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McMinn count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes three children and their spouses, Mitzi |
|
|
and Bruce Flournoy, Susan and Steve Seefeldt, and Sherrie and Ron |
|
|
Miller, as well as nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Joe and |
|
|
Wanda McMinn can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Joe and Wanda |
|
|
McMinn on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McMinn as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
