R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Audrey Perez has graduated as valedictorian of the |
|
|
2013 senior class of Lytle High School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Perez has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her stellar grades |
|
|
have earned her induction into the National Honor Society; she has |
|
|
also had the privilege of serving as president of her local NHS |
|
|
chapter; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to attending to her studies, Ms. Perez |
|
|
has given generously of her time and talents to a number of worthy |
|
|
causes; her extracurricular efforts have included assisting with |
|
|
healthy-living workshops at her school, volunteering with |
|
|
special-needs children, hosting book fairs for younger children, |
|
|
helping with the annual Christmas Hayride and Easter Egg Hunt, and |
|
|
coordinating fund-raisers for local animal shelters; in the fall, |
|
|
she will attend Dartmouth College, where she plans to major in |
|
|
molecular biology with the ultimate goal of earning a medical |
|
|
degree and becoming a general practitioner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Audrey Perez has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates, |
|
|
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
|
this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Audrey Perez, |
|
|
valedictorian of the Lytle High School Class of 2013, and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Perez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
