R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Rebecca Ann Pesqueda has graduated as salutatorian |
|
of the 2013 senior class of Charlotte High School; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; the student who garners this coveted |
|
distinction must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a wide |
|
range of subjects, yet the rewards of the countless hours of study |
|
and preparation are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Pesqueda has shared her time and energy outside |
|
of school through volunteer service to a toy drive and a school |
|
beautification project, and she has served as a concessions vendor |
|
and announcer at Little League games; she is a catechist assistant |
|
at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and she hopes to travel the |
|
world on missions and to help those in need; she will attend the |
|
University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the fall, where she plans to |
|
study journalism and mass communications; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Rebecca Ann |
|
Pesqueda has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Rebecca Ann |
|
Pesqueda, salutatorian of the Charlotte High School Class of 2013, |
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Pesqueda as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
