SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 22
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Dorothy Reddrick Rios
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Dorothy Reddrick
  Rios, who died May 3, 2013, at the age of 92; and
         WHEREAS, Dorothy Reddrick was born on September 18, 1920,
  in Austin; she graduated from Austin High School and Brantley
  Draughon Business College; she married Alfred Rios on June 13,
  1942, and after his military service, the couple moved to Fort
  Worth; they were blessed with three children and three
  grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Dorothy was dedicated to her work in the
  Accounting Department at Sears Roebuck for 20 years; she was a
  devout Christian, and she was an active member of Saint Stephen
  Presbyterian Church for 62 years; she was also a volunteer for
  Scouting and the parent-teacher association; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Dorothy was a generous,
  kindhearted person who was respected in the community for her
  accomplishments; she enjoyed traveling and playing bridge, and
  she was an excellent seamstress; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and grace, she
  gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth,
  and valued counsel will not be forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, Dorothy Rios was beloved by many, and she will
  long be remembered with affection and appreciation by all who
  were privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Dorothy Reddrick Rios; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Dorothy Rios.
