SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 82
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Grace Annabel Lee
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Beaumont in mourning the loss of Grace Annabel Lee,
  who died June 7, 2013, at the age of 24; and
         WHEREAS, Grace Annabel Lee was born to Mary Anne and Bryan
  H. Lee on December 26, 1988, in Beaumont; she graduated from
  Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School, where she studied creative
  writing and theater and served as student body class vice
  president; and
         WHEREAS, She graduated with honors from Loyola Marymount
  University in Los Angeles and earned degrees in theater arts and
  theology; she was on the dean's list all four years of college,
  and she was noted for diligently pursuing a wide variety of
  interests and for consistently striving to broaden her horizons;
  her ventures during her college years included participating in a
  Mandarin language class and furthering her practice of
  theatrical arts in a study-abroad program in Western Europe; and
         WHEREAS, Following her graduation, she earned a yoga
  teacher certification and spent a summer in China volunteering
  with mentally challenged children; after spending time in China,
  she decided to move to San Francisco and attend the University of
  San Francisco School of Law; and
         WHEREAS, Grace was a well-traveled, highly accomplished
  young woman who was adventurous and inquisitive and who
  consistently sought out the beauty and truth in life; she was
  beloved by all who knew her, and she touched the lives of
  countless people; and
         WHEREAS, She was a remarkably talented individual who was
  noted for her engaging personality, her gracious manner, and her
  witty sense of humor; she was passionate and goal-oriented,
  generous and loving, and she leaves behind memories that will be
  treasured forever by all who were privileged to share in her
  life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Grace Annabel Lee; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Grace Annabel Lee.
