SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 94
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Marc Rodriguez for his many achievements; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Rodriguez is chairman of the United States |
|
|
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he works to implement change |
|
|
at the local, state, and national levels to create professional |
|
|
and entrepreneurial opportunities that will generate wealth and |
|
|
prosperity for families and communities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania |
|
|
and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his work with the chamber, he is |
|
|
the owner of a government relations consulting firm and the |
|
|
president of TOPE Development, a real estate company; his |
|
|
consulting clients include the American Plastic Bag Alliance, |
|
|
Apple Computer, Gerson-Lehman Group, Oracle, and the Texas Water |
|
|
Quality Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He is active in his community and serves on the |
|
|
boards of the Austin Area Research Organization, the Austin |
|
|
Convention and Visitors Bureau, United Way of Central Texas, and |
|
|
the Southwest Human Services Corporation; he is truly deserving |
|
|
of recognition for the many contributions he has made to his |
|
|
profession and to the state; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Marc Rodriguez |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
