Timothy I. O'Hearn |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
|
citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Timothy I. O'Hearn, |
|
|
who died June 13, 2013, at the age of 63; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Tim O'Hearn was born to Roberta H. O'Hearn and |
|
|
William J. O'Hearn on January 5, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska; he |
|
|
grew up to become a beloved patriarch, a highly successful |
|
|
businessman, and a philanthropist who took great joy in helping |
|
|
others; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For 35 years, Tim served as president of Austin |
|
|
Foam Plastics, a company he helped to build and grow from the |
|
|
ground up; he was noted for his interest in his employees' |
|
|
quality of life, and he worked hard to expand the scope of his |
|
|
business, in part for their benefit and that of their families; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Tim was devoted to his mother, his daughters, his |
|
|
grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, and his many nieces and |
|
|
nephews, and he was a source of strength, joy, and encouragement |
|
|
to all of them; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He gave generously to numerous charitable causes |
|
|
and philanthropic organizations, and he sought to enrich the |
|
|
lives of others in whatever way he could; he lived his life to the |
|
|
fullest and enjoyed his worldly travels, and he took great pride |
|
|
in the success and achievements of his loved ones; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman and a kindhearted |
|
|
person who was beloved by many, and he will be greatly missed by |
|
|
all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere |
|
|
condolences to the bereaved family of Timothy I. O'Hearn; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the |
|
|
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do |
|
|
so in memory of Tim O'Hearn. |
