SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 116
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Yolanda Black Navarro, who is receiving the Women on |
|
the Move Award from the Texas Executive Women organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Yolanda is a longtime resident of the East End and |
|
has been a fearless advocate for quality-of-life issues |
|
impacting the residents of Houston; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, |
|
|
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Yolanda is a community leader who models the |
|
ultimate expression of commitment to civic engagement; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Her wide and influential network has helped her |
|
develop a credible reputation as a source for emerging leaders |
|
and she has consequently opened the doors for many young, and |
|
seasoned, men and women; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Yolanda Black |
|
Navarro on her commitment to civic engagement and her many |
|
achievements and extend to her congratulations on receiving the |
|
Women on the Move Award; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
