R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dabi Reyna, Jr., a senior at Robstown High School, |
|
|
has been named a recipient of a Presidential Series Scholarship |
|
|
from Texas A&M University--Kingsville; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Awarded to students who have been accepted into |
|
|
A&M--Kingsville, Presidential Series Scholarships are bestowed on |
|
|
young men and women who rank in the top 25 percent of their senior |
|
|
class and who achieve high scores on college entrance exams; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A migrant student and the child of a single-parent |
|
|
household, Mr. Reyna has impressed his teachers with his |
|
|
dedication, positive attitude, and academic ability; he carries a |
|
|
demanding course load of college preparatory courses, and he plans |
|
|
to pursue a degree in the biomedical field; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dabi Reyna has brought great credit to his school |
|
|
and his family, and his hard work and commitment to excellence have |
|
|
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young |
|
|
Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dabi Reyna, |
|
|
Jr., on receiving a Presidential Series Scholarship and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Reyna as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
