R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot express the sorrow felt at the loss of
  Nicole Marie Quincy of McKinney, who died on June 28, 2013, at the
  age of 18; and
         WHEREAS, Born to John Michael and Rebecca Sue Quincy on
  January 27, 1995, in Hutchinson, Kansas, this beautiful and
  energetic young woman was a beloved daughter, granddaughter,
  sister, and classmate, who delighted in the time she shared with her
  many friends; she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and a
  recent graduate of McKinney High School; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Quincy was also a serious athlete from the age of
  five, participating in the basketball program of the Amateur
  Athletic Union under the mentorship of her father; she grew up to
  become one of the leading members of the McKinney High School
  basketball team, earning three varsity letters as well as special
  recognition as the Distinguished Athlete of McKinney High during
  her senior year, and she was looking forward to joining the team at
  Southwestern College; and
         WHEREAS, The death of Nicole Quincy has brought great sadness
  to her family and friends, and though she was taken much too soon,
  the memory of her grace, high spirits, and warmth will live on in
  the hearts of all those who knew and loved her; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Nicole Marie Quincy and extend sincere condolences to the members
  of her family: to her parents, John and Rebecca Quincy; to her
  brother, Christopher Quincy; to her grandparents, Richard and Diana
  Quincy and Wilda Wenthe Mattke; and to her other relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nicole
  Marie Quincy.
