R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Dolores |
|
|
Gonzales of Austin, who died on July 5, 2013, at the age of 83; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dolores Gonzales was born in Austin on March 6, |
|
|
1930; she was joined in matrimony to Cruz Gonzales, and they shared |
|
|
a loving relationship until his death; she was the mother of 5 |
|
|
children, and later in life she was blessed with 13 grandchildren |
|
|
and 22 great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Gonzales worked for the City of Austin for 20 |
|
|
years until her retirement; she took pleasure in sewing, gardening, |
|
|
and arts and crafts, and she also enjoyed traveling; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and |
|
|
a true friend, Dolores Gonzales lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|
|
and she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who |
|
|
held her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|
|
Dolores Gonzales and extend sincere condolences to the members of |
|
|
her family: to her daughter, Virginia Hill, and her husband, Cleo; |
|
|
to her sons, Manuel Rodela and his wife, Alice, Robert Rodela and |
|
|
his wife, Felipa, and Charles Rodela and his wife, Yolanda; to her |
|
|
13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and to her other |
|
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dolores |
|
|
Gonzales. |
