R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sergeant Dusty Scott is retiring from the North |
|
|
Richland Hills Police Department, concluding 16 years of dedicated |
|
|
work in behalf of area citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, After serving his nation for two decades as a member |
|
|
of the U.S. Army, Dusty Scott joined the North Richland Hills Police |
|
|
Department in October 1996 as a patrol officer, and he earned |
|
|
promotion to sergeant in September 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This distinguished law enforcement professional is |
|
|
licensed as a permanent peace officer and holds advanced peace |
|
|
officer certification, and he has compiled more than 1,600 hours of |
|
|
service training; he is the recipient of the Police Commendation |
|
|
Award for bravery and two Life Saving Awards, and he has earned 17 |
|
|
letters of commendation over the course of his career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his devotion to duty and commitment to |
|
|
excellence, Dusty Scott has furthered the police department's |
|
|
mission of serving and protecting the residents of North Richland |
|
|
Hills, and he is indeed deserving of recognition as he embarks on |
|
|
the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sergeant |
|
|
Dusty Scott on his retirement from the North Richland Hills Police |
|
|
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Sergeant Scott as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
