R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Yiannis
  Holmes Daniels of Georgetown, who passed away on July 7, 2013, at
  the age of 64; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of John and LaVurne Holmes, the former
  "Ann" Holmes was born in Georgetown on November 15, 1948; she was
  joined in matrimony to the love of her life, James Daniels, in her
  hometown on October 7, 1978; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Daniels was devoted to her family and cherished
  the many happy hours spent with her daughters, Christie and Julie,
  and her grandchildren, Abigail, Conner, Ethan, Emily, Sophie, Ella,
  Justin, Christian, Brynne, Dustin, and Darby; a woman of faith, she
  was a valued member of First Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Retired from public service, Mrs. Daniels had been
  employed with Williamson, Harris, and Bell Counties; she was an
  active member of the Georgetown Area Republican Women and served
  the organization as president and vice president; recently, she
  joined her fellow members on a visit to the George W. Bush
  Presidential Library in Dallas; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan enjoyed traveling with her
  husband and RV camping in Colorado with her sister, Skipper, and
  brother-in-law, Buster; she often went shopping in Austin with her
  closest friend, Ann Baker, and every July, she took great delight in
  making ice cream and selling T-shirts during the annual
  Independence Day celebration in Andice; and
         WHEREAS, Ann Daniels treasured the time she spent in the
  company of her family and friends, and although she will be deeply
  missed, they will forever remember her kind ways and steadfast
  commitment to her community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Yiannis "Ann" Holmes Daniels and extend sincere sympathy to the
  members of her family: to her husband, James Daniels; to her
  daughters, Christie Slape and her husband, Cary, and Julie Livesay
  and her husband, Reed; to her stepchildren, Jeff Daniels and Angela
  Voigt; to her sister, Martha "Skipper" Vickers, and her husband,
  Buster; to her brother, John Mack Holmes, and his wife, Desi; to her
  grandchildren, Abigail, Conner, Ethan, Emily, Sophie, Ella,
  Justin, Christian, Brynne, Dustin, and Darby; to her nieces and
  nephews, Cully, Cody, Michelle, Gina, Clayton, Dusty, and Laurin;
  and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Yiannis
  "Ann" Holmes Daniels.
