R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Andrew and Mary Kitten of Lubbock
  celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 1, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Andrew Kitten and the former Mary Schwertner were
  united in matrimony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton in 1948;
  through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that
  has been made even richer with the addition of 7 children, Rosanna
  Mutzabaugh and her husband, Jack, Greg Kitten and his wife,
  Santuza, Bernie Kitten and his wife, Shari, Matt Kitten and his
  wife, Phyllis, Patrick Kitten and his wife, Carol, Annette Jones
  and her husband, Roy, and Dot Elkins and her husband, Ben, as well
  as 11 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and 7
  great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the
  world over the past 65 years, this devoted husband and wife have
  remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the
  strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges
  and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Andrew and
  Mary Kitten on their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kitten as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
