SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 35
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Gary W. Golden, who is retiring August 31, 2013, after
  more than 32 years of outstanding service with the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mr. Golden joined the comptroller's office in June
  of 1981 as a field auditor; he became an audit supervisor in 1996
  and is retiring as manager of the Tulsa Audit Office; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his
  superior skills and expertise; he has participated in numerous
  franchise tax task forces and refund committees, severance tax
  committees, and management teams; and
 
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Mr. Golden has handled
  his many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and
  dedication; he has served as a mentor to countless fellow Audit
  Division employees and has been an invaluable source of
  information for other state agencies; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and
  admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Gary W. Golden on
  his exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of
  the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to
  him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
