SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 73
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Brian Jennings
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  Burleson community in mourning the loss of Brian Jennings, who
  died June 16, 2013, at the age of 41; and
         WHEREAS, Even as a young man, Brian Jennings had a strong
  sense of faith, and his Christian values ultimately guided him to
  a life of service; he joined the leadership of Alsbury Baptist
  Church as a youth pastor in 2006 and spent subsequent years
  offering invaluable guidance to the young people in the
  community; and
         WHEREAS, Known as "B. J." by those close to him, Mr.
  Jennings was a longtime basketball fan with steadfast loyalty to
  the Dallas Mavericks; family, friends, and parishioners were
  drawn to his charismatic, fun-loving personality and his unique
  ability to inspire others; and
         WHEREAS, Beloved by many, Brian Jennings will continue to
  live on in the hearts and minds of those whose lives he touched,
  and he will long be remembered for his warm and generous spirit;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Brian Jennings:  his wife
  of 20 years and his three children; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Brian Jennings.
