A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to making an appropriation to the Texas Department of |
|
|
Transportation for constructing, maintaining, and acquiring rights |
|
|
of way for public roadways other than toll roads. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION: TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF |
|
|
TRANSPORTATION. The amount of $630 million is appropriated from the |
|
|
general revenue fund for the state fiscal biennium beginning |
|
|
September 1, 2013, to the Texas Department of Transportation to be |
|
|
used only for the constructing, maintaining, and acquiring |
|
|
rights-of-way for public roadways other than toll roads. |
|
|
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect |
|
|
immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members |
|
|
elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas |
|
|
Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for |
|
|
immediate effect, this Act takes effect on the 91st day after the |
|
|
last day of the legislative session. |
