Amend HB 2472 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  Section 2054.051(f), Government Code, is amended to read as follows:

(f)  The department shall identify opportunities for state agencies to:

(1)  coordinate with each other in the adoption and implementation of information resources technology projects; and

(2)  obtain a royalty, license right, or other appropriate means of securing appropriate compensation from information resource systems developed with proprietary information.
