Amend CSSB 1 as follows:
(1) On page III-19, add the following rider:
____. Contingency for Manufacturing Industry Certification Exams. Contingent on passage and enactment of HB 5, or similar legislation relating to reimbursement for the cost of manufacturing certification exams, by the Eighty-third Legislature, Regular Session, the Texas Education Agency shall allocate $500,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2015 in funds transferred from the Texas Workforce Commission for this purpose to implement the provisions of the Section 29.190 of the Texas Education Code.
(2) On page VII-39, add the following rider:
____. Contingency for Manufacturing Industry Certification Exams. Contingent on passage and enactment of HB 5, or similar legislation relating to reimbursement for the cost of manufacturing certification exams, by the Eighty-third Legislature, Regular Session, the Texas Workforce Commission shall transfer to the Texas Education Agency $500,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2015 from Strategy A.2.1, Skills Development from the General Revenue Fund to implement the provisions of the Section 29.190 of the Texas Education Code.
