System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.
Amend SB 160 (senate committee report) by striking all below the enacting clause and substituting the following:
SECTION 1. Section 33.051, Election Code, is amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
(f) On accepting a watcher for service, the election officer shall provide the watcher with a form of identification, prescribed by the secretary of state, to be displayed by the watcher during the watcher's hours of service at the polling place.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
