Amend CSSB 1142 (senate committee printing) as follows:

(1)  Strike SECTION 5 of the bill (page 2, line 49, through page 3, line 9) and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly.

(2)  In SECTION 6 of the bill, in added Section 29.259(h)(1), Education Code (page 3, lines 63-64), strike "funds appropriated for adult basic education" and substitute "general revenue funds appropriated for the pilot program".
