Amend CSSB 1210 (senate committee printing) in SECTION 1 of the bill as follows:

(1)  In added Section 54.2001(d), Education Code (page 2), strike lines 16-17 and substitute the following:

"(3) the student's active duty or other service in the United States armed forces or the student's active duty in the Texas National Guard; or"

(2)  In added Section 54.2001(g)(1), Education Code (page 2, line 28), strike "to".

(3)  In added Section 54.2001(g)(1), Education Code (page 2, line 31), strike "or".

(4)  In added Section 54.2001(g)(2), Education Code (page 2, line 32), between "(2)" and "any provision", insert the following:

"the exemption provided by Section 54.341(a-2)(1)(A), (B), (C), or (D) or (b)(1)(A), (B), (C), or (D); or

(3)"
