Amend CSSB 1729 (senate committee printing) in SECTION 1 of the bill as follows:
(1) In the heading to proposed Section 521.008, Transportation Code (page 1, line 28), strike "AGREEMENT" and substitute "PILOT PROGRAM".
(2) In proposed Section 521.008(a), Transportation Code (page 1, line 30), strike "(a) The" and substitute "(a) The department may establish a pilot program for the provision of renewal and duplicate driver's license, election identification certificate, and personal identification certificate services in:
(1) not more than three counties with a population of 50,000 or less;
(2) not more than three counties with a population of more than 50,000 but less than 1,000,001; and
(3) not more than two counties with a population of more than 1 million.
