BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

Recent legislation enacted certain changes with regard to mule deer management permits. H.B. 2659 seeks to clarify the time frame by which the implementation of these changes is to occur.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.

 

ANALYSIS

 

H.B. 2659 requires the Parks and Wildlife Department to implement the statutory provisions relating to mule deer management permits not later than December 31, 2013.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE

 

On passage, or, if the bill does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2013.
