AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
C.S.S.B. 1771 adjusts the boundaries of the Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority (CCMA) to be consistent with service requests from its retail municipal and water district customers. The adjustment will provide residents in those areas with the opportunity to vote in CCMA elections and to have representation on the CCMA board of directors.
CCMA has provided wholesale sewer service in the area between San Antonio and New Braunfels since 1971. The boundary adjustments are based on requested services by the retail cities and water districts to which CCMA provides wholesale sewer services. Each of the governing boards of the retail customers impacted by these boundary adjustments has passed resolutions in support of the boundary adjustments.
C.S.S.B. 1771 amends current law relating to the expansion of the boundaries of the Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority.
