A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to state formula funding for pharmacy schools and colleges |
|
|
and graduate-level pharmacy programs. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 61.059, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (p) to read as follows: |
|
|
(p) In its formulas established under this section for |
|
|
pharmacy schools and colleges and graduate-level pharmacy |
|
|
programs, the board shall make its recommendations without regard |
|
|
to whether a school, college, or program is operated or offered by a |
|
|
health science center or other medical and dental unit. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to a formula established under Section 61.059, Education Code, as |
|
|
amended by this Act, on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
