A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the appropriation of money from the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund to be used for the purposes of the water |
|
|
infrastructure fund during the next state fiscal biennium. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. (a) The amount of $1 billion is appropriated from |
|
|
the economic stabilization fund to the comptroller for the purpose |
|
|
of depositing that amount to the credit of the water infrastructure |
|
|
fund as money available for use by the Texas Water Development Board |
|
|
for the purposes of the water infrastructure fund during the state |
|
|
fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2013. |
|
|
(b) This Act takes effect only if it receives a vote of |
|
|
two-thirds of the members present in each house of the legislature, |
|
|
as provided by Section 49-g(m), Article III, Texas Constitution. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
