A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the donation of surplus real property by certain |
|
|
municipalities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 253.013(a), Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) This section applies only to: |
|
|
(1) a municipality with a population greater than |
|
|
150,000 and less than 200,000 that is located in three counties; and |
|
|
(2) a municipality with a population greater than |
|
|
65,000 and less than 90,000 that is located in a county in which |
|
|
part but not all of a military installation is located. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
