A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the effect on a credit report of certain transactions by
  a person's spouse pending a divorce decree.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 20.05, Business & Commerce Code, is
  amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
         (d)  Except as otherwise provided by federal law, a consumer
  reporting agency may not include in a consumer report information
  about a transaction of a consumer's spouse described by Section
  6.707(a), Family Code, if the consumer provides a copy of the court
  order making a finding that the transaction was in violation of that
  section.
         SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies to the
  submission of a court order to a consumer reporting agency for the
  correction of a consumer report on or after the effective date of
  this Act, regardless of whether the disputed transaction occurred
  or the court order was rendered before, on, or after the effective
  date of this Act.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
