A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to electronic submission of certain political convention |
|
|
records. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 174.027, Election Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) An electronic submission to the county chair through a |
|
|
system created by the political party and authorized by rule of the |
|
|
party's state executive committee constitutes a complete delivery |
|
|
under Subsection (c). |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 174.069, Election Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) An electronic submission to the state chair through a |
|
|
system created by the political party and authorized by rule of the |
|
|
party's state executive committee constitutes a complete delivery |
|
|
under Subsection (b). |
|
|
SECTION 3. Section 181.067, Election Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) An electronic submission to the county chair through a |
|
|
system created by the political party and authorized by rule of the |
|
|
party's state executive committee constitutes a complete delivery |
|
|
under Subsection (b). |
|
|
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
