A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to staff and support personnel appointed by certain |
|
|
judges. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 74.103, Government Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 74.103. STAFF. (a) The courts may appoint appropriate |
|
|
staff and support personnel according to the needs in each county. |
|
|
(b) Staff and support personnel appointed under this |
|
|
section serve at the pleasure of the judge who appointed the staff |
|
|
or personnel. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 74.104(a), Government Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) The judges shall determine reasonable compensation for |
|
|
the court coordinators, staff, and support personnel, subject to |
|
|
approval of the commissioners court. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
