A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to amounts paid by a county for the operation and |
|
|
administration of a county or district attorney's office. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 41.005, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) A county may not reduce any amount paid to a district or |
|
|
county attorney for purposes of carrying out the official duties of |
|
|
the attorney's office or paying the expenses incident to the |
|
|
operation of the office, including amounts paid under Sections |
|
|
41.106 and 41.107, by the amount of money collected by the attorney |
|
|
under this section, including any commission retained by the |
|
|
attorney under Subsection (b). |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
