A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to formal action of responsible governmental entities on |
|
|
certain proposals or bids for certain projects. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 2267, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 2267.0531 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 2267.0531. FORMAL ACTION DELAYED. (a) The responsible |
|
|
governmental entity may not take any formal action on a proposal or |
|
|
bid received under this chapter before September 1, 2013. |
|
|
(b) This section expires September 2, 2013. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the |
|
|
legislative session. |
