A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

|
relating to establishment and functions of certain urban land bank |
|
|
programs. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 379C, Texas LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE, |
|
|
is |
|
|
amended by amending Section 379C.002 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 379C.002. APPLICABILITY. This chapter applies only to |
|
|
home-rule municipalities that: |
|
|
(1) have a population of 1.18 million or more; and |
|
|
(2) are located predominantly in a county that has a |
|
|
total area of less than 1,300 [1,000] square miles. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
