A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the appropriation of money from the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund to be used for the purpose of repairing certain |
|
|
roadways and bridges. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The amount of $400 million is appropriated from |
|
|
the economic stabilization fund to the Department of Transportation |
|
|
in each fiscal year of the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, |
|
|
2015, for the purpose of repairing roadways and bridges damaged by |
|
|
oversize vehicles or overweight loads used in the development and |
|
|
production of energy or by above-normal usage of roadways and |
|
|
bridges by vehicles used in the development and production of |
|
|
energy. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013, but only |
|
|
if it receives a vote of two-thirds of the members present in each |
|
|
house of the legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), Article |
|
|
III, Texas Constitution. |
