A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the removal of certain political party officers.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 171, Election Code, is
  amended by adding Section 171.0222 to read as follows:
         Sec. 171.0222.  REMOVAL OF CHAIR. The county executive
  committee may remove a county chair for cause, including failure to
  properly perform the chair's duties to the political party, a
  violation of a policy or procedure adopted by the state or county
  executive committee, or a violation of a law of this state or the
  United States, on a written charge and after a public hearing.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
