A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to approval required for modifications to certain toll |
|
|
projects and related contracts. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 228.013, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) After a committee makes a final determination regarding |
|
|
the issues under Subsection (b), the department may not |
|
|
substantially modify the scope of the project or the terms or |
|
|
schedule of any contract relating to the project without committee |
|
|
approval of the proposed modification. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
