A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to the addition of flood control measures on the state |
|
|
highway system. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Section 201.6111, Transportation Code, is added |
|
|
as follows: |
|
|
|
|
|
Sec. 201.6111. FLOOD CONTROL MEASURES. In the construction |
|
|
of its highway projects, the department shall add flood control |
|
|
measures to the project and to existing parts of the state highway |
|
|
system directly affected by the project. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
