A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the eligibility of certain persons to participate in |
|
|
the retirement systems of certain municipalities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1, Chapter 88 (H.B. 1573), Acts of the |
|
|
77th Legislature, Regular Session, 2001 (Article 6243h, Vernon's |
|
|
Texas Civil Statutes), is amended by adding Subdivision (11-a) to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(11-a) "Employee" does not include a full-time |
|
|
employee of a local government corporation or other entity created |
|
|
by or acting on behalf of a municipality if the local government |
|
|
corporation or other entity has not agreed to participate in the |
|
|
pension system. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
