A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the repeal of the motor fuel tax. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding other law, beginning with the |
|
|
state fiscal year beginning September 1, 2016, Subchapter B, |
|
|
Chapter 162 of the Tax Code is repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding other law, the Department of |
|
|
Transportation shall submit to the Legislature proposals for |
|
|
replacing the motor fuel tax prior to January 1, 2015. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
