R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The passing of Tommy Edmondson of Arlington on
  January 7, 2012, at the age of 64, has brought great sorrow to his
  loved ones and his many friends, former students, and admirers; and
         WHEREAS, Coach Ed, or "Ched" as he was affectionately known,
  encouraged and influenced countless young people throughout his
  35-year career as a teacher, coach, and mentor with the Arlington
  Independent School District, the last 15 of which he spent coaching
  his favorite sport--girls softball--at Arlington High School; and
         WHEREAS, He was devoted to his family and to his
  student-athletes, and he will always be remembered for his
  enthusiasm, his integrity, and his engaging smile; and
         WHEREAS, Though it is impossible to gauge the full effect of a
  man's life, some individuals leave their unmistakable mark on the
  world as they move through it, and the contributions of Coach
  Edmondson will long resonate in the lives of all who knew him; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Thomas Carson
  Edmondson, Jr., and extend sincere condolences to the members of
  his family: to his wife, Carmela; to his children, Brett, Leah,
  Cambria, John, Nicholas, and Victoria; to his grandchildren,
  Lindsey, Caden, Mackenzie, and Beau; and to his other relatives and
  many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Thomas
  Carson Edmondson, Jr.
