R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Loved ones will forever cherish their memories of |
|
|
Charline Johnston of Arlington, who passed away on January 29, |
|
|
2012, at the age of 80; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Johnston was |
|
|
born in Hillsboro on November 1, 1931; she married Clifford |
|
|
Johnston, with whom she shared many years and a blessed family that |
|
|
included three sons, David, Charles, and Michael, two |
|
|
grandchildren, Daniel and Abby, and a great-grandson, Nathan; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Before her retirement, Mrs. Johnston worked with the |
|
|
Arlington Independent School District, serving with distinction at |
|
|
Shackelford Junior High School and Lamar High School; she also |
|
|
enjoyed tenures at churches in Hillsboro, Marfa, and Alvin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Charline Johnston was devoted to her faith and |
|
|
family, and while she will be deeply missed, she will always be |
|
|
remembered with great affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charline Johnston and |
|
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
husband, Clifford Johnston; to her sons, David Johnston, Charles |
|
|
Johnston and his wife, Kathy, and Michael Johnston and his wife, |
|
|
June; to her grandchildren, Daniel and his wife, Arin, and Abby; to |
|
|
her great-grandson, Nathan; and to her other relatives and friends; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charline |
|
|
Johnston. |
